Scholarship Intro/Aim
The Bill 7 Award provides financial support to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, two-spirited, and queer (LGBTQ) individuals pursuing their first post-secondary program of study in Ontario. This scholarship aims to assist recipients with demonstrated financial need after accessing available public financial supports.
Scholarship Requirements:
To be eligible for the Bill 7 Award scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Attend or be accepted by a Post-Secondary Educational Institution in the Province of Ontario.
- Pursue their FIRST post-secondary program of study.
- Identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, two-spirited, or queer (LGBTQ).

How to Apply
In addition to your application form, we require the following documents. These may be attached in .pdf, .doc or .txt format. Â (.pdf format is preferred.)
- A copy of OSAP estimate (if applicable).
- Proof of registration/acceptance from the post-secondary institution.
- Reference letter from a professional who can support your application.
- A personal statement (250 words or fewer) explaining why you should be selected for the Award.
- The Ontario Work Study Plan (optional).
