Biography

Grace Lubega was born on July 21, 1987, into a Roman Catholic family. After finishing school, he got a job as a supervisor in customer care and customer service at Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB). He later left this job to concentrate on establishing Phaneroo Ministries International.

Grace Lubega went to Makerere University and earned a bachelor’s degree in statistics and accounting. Afterwards, he attended Zoe Life Theological College, and on February 4, 2023, he received an honorary doctorate of divinity at the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala.

Lubega got married to Nicolette Kavuma, often known as Nicole, in a private wedding on March 9, 2019, at The Victoria Serena Hotel Kigo. Nicolette is the daughter of Dennis Paulo Kavuma.

Apostle Grace Lubega comes from a Roman Catholic background. He first converted at eight years old during a Crusade altar call but later drifted away.

His second conversion happened while he was at university. He started as a worshiper and later became a teacher and preacher.

Apart from preaching, Lubega is multi-talented. He plays basketball and works as a banker. He also aspires to become a rally driver.

The ministry’s tag line is “Make manifest,” inspired by the Greek term Phaneroo, meaning “to bring to manifestation.” Phaneroo Ministries started at the MTN Arena in Lugogo, Kampala, and later moved to the Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) showground.

The first Phaneroo Ministries service took place on August 7, 2014. They attract about 4,000 people at the UMA showgrounds and many more online. Annual anniversary celebrations in August accommodate 30,000-40,000 people at the Kololo Independence Grounds.

Grace Lubega, besides preaching, is a vocalist. His song “Yesu Ndi Wuwo” featuring Ivan T.I.T is popular, and he often sings covers and gospel medleys during fellowships.
